Hospitality Team
Hospitality Team members are expected to serve on Sundays (rotating schedule) and arrive 30 minutes before service. Greeter Welcome attendees at the door with a smile and greeting Should be friendly and welcoming Hand out church bulletins Personal Host The function of this role is to primarily be attentive to the arrival of visitors and act as their personal host, ensuring they feel welcomed and that any needs are met. Should be friendly, proactive, and attentive Able to answer basic questions about the church Ensure that a Connect Card is received from a first-time visitor Ensure hospitality room is stocked with water, coffee, creamer, etc.
Kids' & Youth Ministries
Everyone who serves with our children or youth must be a member of Grace River Chapel for at least 6 months, undergo a background check, receive CPR/First Aid training (paid by the church), and meet the qualifications disclosed in the Kids’ and Youth Ministry Handbook. Nursery (ages 0-2) – Leader: Cindy Morgan Attend to the needs and watch over the safety of children Serve on a rotating schedule as needed Toddlers (ages 2-3) – Leaders: Leslie Wilson & Kaylee Pridgen Willing to study and be fully prepared to teach lesson provided Able to attend quarterly planning meetings Able to work as a team Serve on a rotating schedule Kids (ages 4-9) – Leaders: Leslie Wilson & Kaylee Pridgen Willing to study and be fully prepared to teach lesson provided Able to attend quarterly planning meetings Able to work as a team Serve on a rotating schedule Pre-Teens (ages 10-12) – Leaders: Hayley & Quentin Rico Willing to study and be fully prepared to teach lesson provided Able to attend quarterly planning meetings Able to work as a team Serve on a rotating schedule Help with activities and functions outside of church services Youth (ages 13-17) – Leader: Hunter Bittle Assist youth leader Occasionally lead bible studies/devotions Help with activities and functions outside of church services
Worship Team
Everyone who serves on the worship team must be a member of Grace River Chapel for at least 6 months and meet the qualifications disclosed in the Worship Team Handbook and are expected to attend scheduled practices. Musician Intermediate level of ability in chosen instrument Ability to follow a chord chart or lead sheet Vocalist Vocalists with more advanced vocal abilities, good intonation, and can blend in an ensemble Ability to hear and sing harmony Serve on a rotating schedule
Media Team
The media team is expected to serve on Sundays (rotating schedule) and arrive 30 minutes before service. Media Computer Operate the computer that runs the lyrics for worship, videos, music, PowerPoint, etc. Arrive 20 minutes early for Sunday service to do the following: Set up computer and projector Review order of service or any special instructions Livestream Computer & Camera Operate the computer and camera that livestream our Sunday services Arrive 20 minutes early before services to set up computer and camera Monitor Facebook comments during service Photography & Videography Access to camera equipment Adequate proficiency in photography/videography Take photos/videos at events or services
Usher
Serve on Sundays (rotating schedule) Collect & count offering Proactive and observant to the needs of leadership and attendees Prepare communion on the first Sunday of each month, arriving 30 minutes before service and staying after to clean up
Security Team
Everyone who serves on the Security Team must be a member of Grace River Chapel for at least 6 months. Monitor back door and property during Sunday and Wednesday services Preferrable to possess a License to Carry (LTC) but not mandatory Serve on a rotating schedule
Discipleship Ministries
Play an active role in assisting the ministry leader facilitate the various activities of the respective ministries: Small Groups The gathering of small groups in a home, the church, or other locations for the purpose of making committed disciples of Christ and deepening personal relationships with one another. Men's/Women’s Ministry Bible study Fellowships Activities Senior Adults Ministry (“GRClassics”) – Leaders: Kay LeBlanc & Dena Morgan Ages 50+ Bible study Fellowships Activities Widows’ Ministry (W.O.W. – “Women of Worth”) – Leader: Kathy Scofield Bible study, fellowships, activities You don’t have to be a widow to help or participate Women only
Wednesday Fellowships
Help with our monthly Wednesday night fellowships: Food preparation/cooking Set up, clean up Once per month
Mercy Ministries
Meal Preparation – Leader: Kristen Bittle Medical Recovery Meals – Provide a meal to those recovering from illness, surgery, etc. New Moms Meals – Provide a meal for the family of our new Moms after they arrive home from the hospital. Funeral Meals – Leaders: Leslie Wilson, Kay Leblanc and Cindy Morgan Provide a side dish, salad, or dessert for a meal at the church before or after a funeral for the family. You may also be asked to help prepare the room, serve the meal, and clean up. Repairs for Elderly, Widows, or Infirmed in the Church – Leaders: Elders Helping our elderly, widows, or infirmed with minor repairs at their homes Yard work, painting, plumbing, electrical, help with moving, heavy lifting, etc.
Special Events
Help with planning, organizing, decorating, etc. for special events as needed.
Facilities & Grounds Maintenance
Facilities Maintenance Minor repairs and maintenance of church facilities as needed Grounds Maintenance Mowing, trimming, flower beds, hedges, trash pick-up, etc. Typically occurs on Saturday mornings when scheduled
